There is no penalty for submitting threat data which are already blacklisted. However, users will not be awarded Sentinel Points when they do so.
Nevertheless, if users wish to avoid submitting already existing threat data, they can check by clicking the "Search Incidents" button on the Report Incidents page.
Users will then be directed to the "Search Incidents" page, where they can input the threat data into the search bar to check whether it exists in the TRDB already.
